On August 29th, 2024, Al Azhar International Islamic Boarding School Karanganyar welcomed the arrival of Ustadz Muzammil Hasballah, a qori’ and hafidz of the Qur’an widely known in Indonesia. His presence was warmly welcomed by the directors, staff, and all students of Al Azhar IIBS. This visit became a special moment for the entire school community, which was very enthusiastic to welcome an inspiring figure like Ustadz Muzammil.

Upon arriving at Al Azhar IIBS, Ustadz Muzammil was taken on a tour to see various superior facilities that support educational activities, such as the school building, dormitory, and Al Fatih Mosque. This visit became an opportunity for him to see firsthand the learning environment that combines Islamic values with international education standards.

This activity coincided with the implementation of the Tahfidz Acceleration Dayz (TADZ) program. TADZ was held for a full week with the aim of focusing students on memorizing the Qur’an. This program is designed to provide time and opportunity for students to be more intensive in memorizing and understanding the Qur’an under the guidance of experienced tahfidz teachers.

During his visit, Ustadz Muzammil took the time to attend several tahfidz halaqahs, where he interacted directly with students who were memorizing the Qur’an. His presence in this halaqah provided additional motivation for the students to be more diligent in memorizing and loving the Qur’an.

The peak of this visit took place at Al-Fatih Mosque, where Ustadz Muzammil provided motivation and shared meaningful experiences with all teachers and students. On this occasion, a special performance by JMQ (Jammiyyatul Qurra Al Azhar IIBS) enlivened the event with recitations of Qur’anic verses that touched the heart.

At the end of the event, Ustadz Muzammil held a Qur’an ayat continuation quiz that was met with great enthusiasm by the students. They quickly and eagerly answered the challenge. This moment increased the closeness between Ustadz Muzammil and the students, as well as providing more motivation to continue improving their memorization.

The presence of Ustadz Muzammil Hasballah in this activity provided inspiration and new enthusiasm for the entire academic community of Al Azhar IIBS. His support for the Tahfidz Acceleration Dayz program shows the importance of efforts to produce a generation of Qur’an memorizers who are not only academically intelligent but also of noble character.
