On October 11, 2023 Al Azhar International Islamic Boarding School participated in a Meet and Greet with Dr. Bilal Philips, a Moslem Cleric and motivational speaker from Jamaica, Canada. Not only as a moslem cleric, he is also the founder of the International Open University located in Qatar. In education, Dr. Bilal Philips has a scientific capacity in Islamic studies at the Islamic University of Medina & Akidah at King Saud University, and has completed a PhD in Islamic Theology from the University of Wales.

Dr. Bilal Philips, known for his inspiring lectures and thought-provoking talks on various aspects of Islam and contemporary issues. The meet and greet was not only an opportunity for Al Azhar IIBS to meet the cleric, but also to engage in insightful conversations and ask questions.

The event began with a warm welcome when Dr. Bilal Philips arrived at the airport. Then, Meet and Greet Dr. Bilal Philips with Al Azhar IIBS which was attended by the Directors of Al Azhar IIBS and the Student Council of Al Azhar IIBS (Stuco).

Throughout the event, Dr. Bilal Philips gave a discussion and podcast with Ustadz Ahmad Zulfiqar A., S.Fil.I., M.IRKH. , Prof. Dr. Taufik Kasturi, S.Psi., M.Si., and members of Stuco Al Azhar IIBS. This memorable event leaving a positive impact and can be strengthened the bonds between Al Azhar International Islamic Boarding School and Dr. Bilal Philips.
