Alhamdulillah, gratitude is always poured out for the abundance of Grace from Allah Ta’ala on Wednesday August 9th, 2023, Al Azhar IIBS had the arrival of Baraa Masoud, a Qur’an memorizer, nasyid singer, and influencer from Gaza Palestine. Baraa made a special visit to Al Azhar IIBS to provide a sharing session on the beautiful strains of the Qur’an and Islamic Nasyid, so that it appears how the Qur’an can be chanted beautifully and touches the heart. During this visit, Baraa Masoud met with students and the academic community of Al Azhar IIBS to discuss the importance of beautifying the recitation of the Qur’an so that the beauty will be easily conveyed to the heart and penetrate into the soul for further tadabburi and we practice.

In a warm discussion led and moderated by Al Ustadz Ahmad Zulfiqar A.A.A., S.Fil.I., MIRKH as Director of International Affairs Al Azhar IIBS, Baraa Masoud talked about tips and how we can beautify the recitation of the Qur’an. Baraa Masoud said that the Qur’an has the potential to spread the message of peace, tolerance, and compassion for all mankind. He also shared how the situation in his home region is getting worse under the Israeli occupation. He motivated everyone to always be close to the Qur’an and uphold the values of adab in accordance with the curriculum taught at Al Azhar IIBS.

During her visit, Baraa Masoud also performed a beautiful nasyid, where she presented a variety of soul-stirring and profound nasyid songs. Baraa Masoud’s special performance featured collaboration with students as well as the board of directors and teachers. He made a big impression on the IIBS academic community who were able to collaborate nicely and very well.

Baraa Masoud’s visit to Al Azhar IIBS ended with high appreciation from Al Azhar IIBS. This is one example of how the Qur’an can be the most important means of providing positive values and strengthening the bonds of friendship among Muslims and even all mankind.
